Responsibilities:
As a Game Designer at League of Geeks, you will own the iterative development of significant gameplay content and features from concept to execution.

Working closely with the Principal Designer, you will develop and internally pitch gameplay concepts that deliver on the creative needs of the game, ensuring compliance to production and IP constraints. You will play a key on-the-tools role in bringing this gameplay to life, iteratively collaborating with all disciplines to guide content through to its final, polished implementation in Unreal Engine.

  • Deliver scripted gameplay interactions and sequences, with support from engineering disciplines and project leads.
  • Iterate and refine gameplay in response to playtesting and feedback, honing the moment-to-moment player experience to a world-class standard.
  • Internally pitch novel gameplay content, in response to the needs of the product and audience.
  • Produce streamlined prototypes, working with minimal external dependencies, that validate gameplay solutions against identified design risks.
  • Communicate design and technical requirements, opportunities and risks proactively and professionally.

As a Writer, you will work closely with the Game Director, Creative Director and Principal Designer to conceptualise and deliver heart-filled stories that play to the strength of the medium. Responsibilities:
As a Writer at League of Geeks, you will own the iterative development of narrative content from concept to execution.

Working closely with the Game Director, Creative Director and Principal Designer, you will develop authentic, engaging stories that service the creative and practical needs of the product, audience, and IP. This is a hands-on writing role; you'll be responsible for the creation and maintenance of narrative documentation and scripts to service localisation and VO pipelines, as well as the implementation of written content into gameplay.

  • Develop and internally pitch original characters, environments and stories, within the constraints of a world-class IP and the gameplay framework.
  • Create and present concise, well organised gameplay scripts that meet the needs of the product as it evolves.

League of Geeks is looking for a talented Principal Artist with strong 2D game art skills (who loves building game worlds!) to join us on our next exciting project. In this pivotal role, you will take responsibility for developing and employing the game's art in-engine (e.g. Unity or Unreal) while helping fellow artists achieve their goals. You have experience building pipelines for games in-engine, and a decent understanding of 2D animation techniques (e.g. Spine, Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, etc).

As a key member of LoG's team you will make fundamental decisions on the processes and pipelines of the game through pre-production, working in partnership with the creative director and engineers to deliver outstanding game-ready art assets with the goal of building a beautiful and living game world. You are an expert in your craft and will be able to provide critical guidance to other artists working on the project whilst maintaining a sustainable, healthy and positive working environment for the team to thrive in.
