Among the ones that stand out to me are "The Last King of Scotland", "Shakespeare in Love", and "Enemy at the Gates". I consider myself a bit of a historian and I found these respective movies to quite evocative.

Shakespeare In Love is a great romance!

I'm probably forgetting a bunch, but here it goes:
  • Serenity
  • Repo! The Genetic Opera
  • Frozen
  • The Lion King
  • How To Train Your Dragon
  • Galaxy Quest

Scratch that, I'm most definitely forgetting a lot. But that's all I can recall from the top of my head.

For me Nausicca will always be my favourite. Especially even the bastardised western version: Warriors of the Wind.

You guys have got to love the Ocean 11 series!!

Love:
The Blind Side
Fast and Furious (all of them)
Captain America!
The Avengers
Dark Knight Rises (the one with bane haha)

I love inspiring movies like never back down, movies that portray the character coming back and absolutely wrecking whatever was holding him down, like when batman came back and destroyed Bane, or when The avengers pulled together and fought off the invasion!! Or when the entire fast and furious team came together to fix whatever the problem is!! Inspiring movies i live for!! Ever seen remember the titans, i Highly reccomend it!

Definitely a toss-up between those two when it comes to Miyazaki films for me. Laputa's great, too, but the English dub ("Castle in the Sky") added a little too much filler dialogue. I think they're afraid if there are too many scenes without anyone speaking they'll lose their child audience, but they got progressively better about that as the films went on. So many of my favorite games draw influence from Laputa, though, so I think I like it more for that than anything else.

Ever seen remember the titans, i Highly reccomend it!

Yeah, y'know, that is a good one. I'm usually not big into sports films, but I liked this one (it also takes place not too far from where I live, in Alexandria, Virginia just outside D.C.).

You better see 42 then. Or The Fighter. Or Warrior.

It looks like Snacuum has the best taste in movies here, though ;) Enjoyed many of those movies. And to follow up on all others' picks, I'm an Anderson fanatic and Miyazaki is always fun.

As for my favorite films though, in no particular order:
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Drive
- Fight Club
- Her
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

So far I agree with pretty much everything you guys have said, especially Princess Mononoke (and pretty much all of Miyazaki's other work) and The Fifth Element is one of my favorites for sure.

As for a few to add, The Fall (2006) and Pan's Labyrinth (also 2006) are definitely two of my favorite movies.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind would have to be hands-down my favourite. Just recently watched Joss Whedon's latest film In Your Eyes too, and that's coming a close second.

Also, Miyazaki films, especially Nausicaa. :)

I loved The Fall! Feel like it didn't get as much attention as it deserved.

I'm a pretty big movie buff - hard to pick favourites, but generally anything by the Coen brothers, Kubrick or Wes Anderson I'm really into.

More on-theme for Armello, The Fantastic Mr. Fox is probably my favourite Wes Anderson movie.
