I grew up watching Disney flicks, and The Lion King is one of them. Recently, it has to be American Hustle.
Love & Peace!

Well, being a big comic book fan and a child at mind, I like tintin and the secret of the unicorn immensely.

This is always a hard one for me. I have a buncha favorites from a few different genres:

- Secret of NIMH. Probably no surprise. Don Bluth has a pretty good catalog of stuff in the 80s, but I always thought this was his best. Different than most animated features, and has kind of an odd structure, but I've always adored the animation and characters.

- The Great Escape. Is this a POW camp or a summer camp? They even had arts and crafts! Kinda makes you wonder why they even wanted to leave. But it really is a good film filled with really cool characters and a plan nearly 2 hours in the making.

Then there's the stand-bys like the Star Wars trilogy, and the Back to the Future trilogy (good choice, Dev).

I also thought about Star Wars but the first trilogy (ep. 4-6), the old good times!  :P

That is a very good one, early bluth films are very good. Its a really hard match up between Land Before Time and Secret of NIMH personally.

I see over 40 in theaters every year so it's pretty darn hard to pick just a few films I love.

But I can say that my film seen so far in theaters this year was The Grand Budapest Hotel.

I hear thats a really good movie. My favorite movie i'v seen this year is the lego movie. Once the guardians of the galaxy comes out that will most likely take the spot.

Edit: I do love a good Wes Anderson flick.

Gravity is a great movie, as is the original 12 Angry Men. NIHM is good, though it's tied with the Last Unicorn for me. The Avengers may not be the best action flick I've seen, but it's the one coming to mind atm. Die Hard: With a Vengance is another good popcorn movie. 6th Sense, Memento, and Eraserhead top out my "things that make you go hmmm" category, for very different reasons. Pleasant Ville was a nice think piece as well. Ditto The Usual Suspects.

My favorite comedy of all time will always be the Mel Brooks classic. Blazing Saddles ^.^
Some like it hot is a close second.

Among the ones that stand out to me are "The Last King of Scotland", "Shakespeare in Love", and "Enemy at the Gates". I consider myself a bit of a historian and I found these respective movies to quite evocative.
