Community of the Cold-blooded
« on: May 23, 2014, 04:22:09 AM »
This topic is about discussing freely about reptilian and amphibian-related things in the Armello-universe. A place to share ideas and creative thoughts, whether they're for trickery/spell/follower or even future hero, of the cold-blooded inhabitants of Armello.

And a place for the awesome team of LoG to know how much we love about these awesome scaly beasties.  ;)

So without further ado, let's begin.

Hell yeah!
I've got a bearded dragon, so I think that would be my first choice, if not a salamander or a snake.

Ohmigoodness YES. Lizard Clan all the way, someday, please! [foams] Or, well, if not a clan (because the Great Clans are the ones involved in the Armello plot, yes?) just as followers or as visitors to Armello that are then playable Heroes. :')

I mean, we've got Slanderous Toads to prove that non-mammal characters exist, so. ;)

Some days ago, I sketched a (really crappy) picture of a wall lizard lady who I imagined could be a pretty sweet Hero-- but, idk, maybe reptilian heroes might be shied away from because they're archetypically sneaky/stealthy/"slimy", much like Rats so perhaps it is feared a Lizard Clan may be redundant?

If the Bandit Clan as a whole weren't exclusively for backers, I'd say a couple reptilian Heroes could be fit in there, but, alas.

And let's not forget poor little Guppy the lovable yet unfortunate froggy squire, may he rest in peace.

A lizard clan would be mighty interesting one day in game. It has my vote. Though I wonder if there would be terrain disadvantages for them. Like if you wander too far into cold climate areas or a winter tile would it hamper movement?

Yeah, and if a swamp tile gives them an advantage and/or special bonuses?

Yes, that's exactly something I was thinking back in the KS comments. :D I mused aloud whether they might get a health debuff on mountains and no defense bonus, and instead get their defense bonus in swamps and no health debuff there?

And that's a really interesting thought, too. Like if a reptilian Hero starts their turn on a winter tile (ergo, ended their last turn on one), they have -1 Action Point than they would have started with?

It would definitely make for interesting strategy with all the tiles.
