Greetings, Armellians!

Due to unforeseen difficulties with new Steam Inventory infrastructure, Armello's third Dice Collection, Traitor's Gift has been delayed. We're working as hard as we can to resolve this and get the new Collection out to you as a priority. Stay tuned for more info on that front.

The good news, however, is that we're getting a rad little update into your hands without the collection. This update brings a bunch of great stuff that we're sure you'll like.

  • Collection 3, Traitor’s Gift has arrived to the land of Armello. This replaces the Spoils of War collection.
  • Ghor Hero Power change:  In Forests, Spells cost 1 Magic less for each adjacent Forest and Ghor can cast to any Forest. Ghor does not gain Stealth in Forests at Night.
  • Ghor Hero Power visualisation change: Only the Ghor player sees the Forest glowing particles.
  • The King’s Voice Over (VO) has received some mastering and polishing.
  • Due to popular demand, the King now roars again..
  • Bounty communications now have unique audio SFX.
  • Commendation screen now has unique audio SFX.
  • On completing a public multiplayer game, all human players will receive a Contender Star.
  • When using a controller, dice are now thrown in the correct direction.

  • River Hero Power change:  It’s been a long time coming to bring River’s Hero Power in line with how it’s managed. River’s hero power is now correctly treated like an attack in all cases.
  • Now triggers Prestige loss vs. King.
  • Now triggers a Traitor level Bounty vs. King.
  • Now triggers a Wanted level Bounty vs. King's Guard.
  • Now removes 3 Prestige during Peace Treaty vs. Hero.
  • Now breaks Armistice Pact and become Wanted vs. Pact Hero.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a rare NMA cause by dying on your turn with an active Pact.
  • Lone Wolf has been removed from Private games.
  • Fixed a bug where Tool Tips for Dice show a string. If you see this again, please let us know!
  • Controllers will now be able to interact with Steam Profiles on the Commendation page.
  • Fixed Cards animation in inventories/hands/card gallery.
  • Fixed King's Declaration layering over the player's hero shelf.
  • Fixed Missing particle on Signet/Ring unlock progression.
  • Fixed a visual bug where a player who has left a game via the 'game ready' pop up may have their name appear in the lobby for the next game.
  • Fixed a rare issue where the trailers in the prologue menu may copy one another, and play the same trailer regardless of which one is clicked.
  • Fixed a bug where the in-game pause menu may become unresponsive when attempting to quit a Prologue or Multiplayer game.
Many of these changes have been implemented due to public request, so thank you to all those who went out of their way to provide constructive feedback.

Lots of good changes here.   Not going to lie though, I don't get the Ghor/Stealth changes.  Finding a tree in a forest SHOULD be hard.  Before 1.5.1, the weird lightup affect gave away his position, but he could still ambush or avoid direct targeting.  Now, the light up effect is hidden from foes (so his position isn't given away anymore) but he's only going to be stealthed in forests during the day with Ranger Cloak, or if he uses Disguise.  It seems like one dev was trying to improve his stealth for narrative reason while another was removing his stealth for balance reasons. 

Honestly if Ghor merits a drawback (since his power is still very strong), I would have gone another route.  Maybe the Treeform could be a weaker fighter (-Fight) since it has slow reflexes?
