50$ for a dice... what?
« on: May 14, 2016, 08:37:38 AM »
50$ for a dice... It's more expensive than the game hitself.
It's the same price than a new game to buy on steam.
Don't you think there is a problem?

Even legendary items of Diablo III marketplace  was less expensive than that.  Even gameplay features of SWtor (playing to this game is very  annoying if you don't use the cashshop) are less expensive than that...

Please, be serious.  :P

Relax. The players set item prices on steam. Right now since there are very few of the higher rarity dice in circulation people who've been lucky enough to get them early are trying to price gouge.  This is normal behavior and happens every single time a newly released virtual item comes out. But just because somebody is asking $50 for a die doesn't mean they're going to get it.  A virtual item is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. With a little patience prices will normalize to a much lower standard once people have a chance to play more. Prices are always very high the first week a virtual item is released, but typically plummet in the coming weeks.

As an example, originally the first few winter dice sold for $30 on steam the very day they were released, but at the peak of market saturation they sold for a mere $2. Now they've normalized to roughly $10. You're seeing supply and demand at work. This is nothing new, nor is it anything to get excited about. Just wait a bit and prices will drop.

Heyo! The prices are settling a little more now. Considering this feature is so new and complex, it's really hard to judge where everything will settle.

Things might end up super cheap! Who knows.

Have you guys decided yet if dice will, after being replaced by new ones, get rotated back in in the (distant) future?
