Off-Topic / Fur vs Scale
« on: December 22, 2015, 02:37:00 AM »

When I'm not rumbling around Armello as Brun, smiting the king or trying desperately for that Rot win (I'll get it one day!), I'm busy building Fur vs Scale - a game that mashes together my love of anthropomorphic characters with arcade fighter mechanics.

Fur vs Scale is a fast-paced tabletop card game for 2-4 players, pitting colorful animal heroes of rival kingdoms against each other in strategic combat. The game challenges players to construct winning combinations of attacks, blocks, counters, and super moves over four rounds to be crowned victor.

If that's something that interests you, you can check out the character profiles and keep up to date on the game's progress at

In addition, RN Estudio is making collectible miniatures, based on the characters, for the game's collector bundle. The 3D renders are in and they're pretty cool!

General Discussion / Are Badges Multi-player Only?
« on: September 08, 2015, 01:06:16 AM »
Hey all,

So, it looks like all of the EA and KS rewards have been added and I'm having loads of fun crushing with Brun. Only thing I see missing are the in-game badges (KS tier and EA). How do I view those? Or are they multiplayer only? May explain why I haven't found them, yet - I can never seem to find a MP game.

Edit: Ok - I see the KS badge next to the portrait during the game. No EA badge, though.

General Discussion / Loving Brun
« on: September 05, 2015, 11:32:32 PM »
I've been awaiting Brun since his announcement during the KS. Loved his look. Then we got to catch a preview of his mechanics in the character profile, and I got even more pumped. The play between magic and fight was something fresh and cool. Now that I've had my chance to play him - Love love love!

From his slow, lumbering movement to the awesome smash animations - his avatar is spectacular and his mechanic really appeals to me. I like having a "Fight" character that benefits from a Spell card strategy. It's a flip from my normal play style during EA. Scored a Spirit Stone victory on my play with him. Now to see if I can defeat the king in 1:1 battle :D

Kudos, LOG. It's great how different every character feels/plays, with just a few tweaks to the core stats and a unique ability.

Bugs! / [PC] Game Freeze During Combat Die Roll
« on: March 29, 2015, 07:28:31 AM »
Build Number:  0.3.2

Platform: PC - Windows 7

Description: During a battle as Amber vs. Mecurio, the game locked up after I rolled my dice but before they were all processed (assigned to attack or defense). My character was equipped with the Royal Banner, Royal Shield, and Heavy Plate. See accompanying screenshot.

I finally had to quit game to exit. The problem did not resolve.

Repro Steps: Unknown

General Discussion / Massive Rot Victory! :D
« on: March 28, 2015, 01:37:24 AM »
First, kudos on the revamped quest system, LOG. It feels much more satisfying, both in story and rewards and I enjoy how your equipment can open new quest solutions.

Managed my first Rot victory in a long while with Amber thanks in part to the Bane Blade, Helm of Heroes, and Royal Shield load out :D Thank you Explorer follower quest reward!

Between all those bonuses and the rot bonus, the king didn't stand a chance. He had 4 health, but I rolled 14 damage! Felt good after falling short on rot victories so often.

General Discussion / Trickery Option: Prolong King's Life
« on: May 23, 2014, 12:15:16 AM »
One of the things that struck me while watching the Twitch play thru games was that the king died fairly quickly. It seemed Prestige victories happened just as things started to get interesting/really develop strategically. Heck, there seemed to be barely any time to properly assault the King to try for that win condition.

Understanding that things are still early, and these kinds of things get tweaked, I think it'd be cool to have a Trickery option to prolong the King's life - maybe steal some of his Rot. That way players can prolong the game a bit and have more time to develop their nefarious strategies before a Prestige victory swoops in and cuts the game short.

Don't get me wrong - loving the look and feel of the game. This is just about exploring one way to expand strategic options and making other win conditions, besides Prestige, more viable.
