General Discussion / Armello Needs Your Help!
« on: November 18, 2016, 02:36:46 AM »
Hey folks! TheRedRaccoon here, back from the dead, and looking to make the Armello Wiki Great Again!

The Armello Wiki, for some time, has been a present and useful link on the main menu of Armello, however, it is in dire need of completion/fleshing-out. This can only be done by you! The users!

The Armello Wiki is a community run wiki that, at the very least could use completion on the Card Front.

So, thanks for reading this post, and as always, feel free to send me any questions, comments, concerns, or needed page deletions.

Artisan's Alley / Red's Bored Betting Program
« on: April 26, 2016, 11:44:52 AM »
I know...  I know...

It isn't much to look at, but I have created a program that will allow you to bet on the outcome of the Devs VS Community game.

If you have a GameJolt account, log into my program with it, and you can bet on the outcome!  ;)

Programs here (sorry, only Windows at the moment!)

(Sorry, but I felt this may have been the best forum for this...)

If you hit a snag, you can hit me up here on the forums via PM or the board below!

Sent in an error report. I'm just linking a video since I happened to have it.
Game froze on Thane after his player Disco'd.

Jump ahead to the 30 min mark, that's when it happens.

Artisan's Alley / Armello: A Somewhat Comprehensive History
« on: May 04, 2015, 01:06:01 AM »
So... At some point this morning, I got up and thought to myself, "Why isn't there more to the Armello Wiki's lore page?"
I realized that, sadly, we did not have much info in there for there is - at the moment, at least- not a lot of canon to work with, but a lot could be speculated from it.
In order to somewhat appease my thinking, I crafted (and am crafting) this - Armello: A Somewhat Comprehensive History

Off-Topic / Just a shameless plug...
« on: April 21, 2015, 11:04:10 AM »

First thing's first. I hate to advertise.

No one likes advertisements.

That being said, I'm calling this a plug.

Why am I separating these lines?

That's a good question.
Anywho! On to my real subject.

For quite some time, I've been a part of an Assassin's Creed clan that went on hiatus for the past year, much to my chagrin, as these people were some of the coolest cats I've ever met. Recently, we've managed to scrounge our best and most active members back to together, have been talking about all the games we've been playing, catching up, et cetera.

After we reconvened, we decided that the game diversity made for playing games together rather difficult, and decided that if we were to revive our clan, we'd do it instead as an open gaming community.

Just going to drop this shameless plug here, and if you guys take a look, are interested, and submit an app; Great!

If not, no biggie. Just dropping a line here to see if anyone is interested.  ;D

Me olde clan link...

PS - If you think this is an advert, then go ahead, and delete this  ;) I won't push the subject.

Feedback & Suggestions / Red's Impressions
« on: March 27, 2015, 08:35:30 AM »
First off, I simply must apologize, friends!
I was sick, and as such, was unable to play as many games as I wanted to, and had no chance to play any multiplayer, whatsoever.  :'(

BUT, I'm back, and hoping to show up for the stream.

I simply love this update.

That's all...

Haha! Just kidding.

About the "that's all"...
Not the loving part.

Because I do love this update...

Like...A lot...

What I did not like however, was the over-exposed lighting that is suddenly happening here...I don't know if this is another odd mandatory graphics setting, or something, but everything is coming out with a very bad glare [see first attachment].

And the glare is obviously worse for Amber, being all white [see second attachment].

I also found it slightly odd that usernames do not show on the victory screen (mayhaps be only in singleplayer?) whilst AI ones do...It just feels...Odd. [ see third attachment ]

I do not know that I'm a fan of how the new economy works. Thus far - and this may simply be my inefficiency at Armello - I've never had more than 2 Gold on me at any one time, and it had little to do with spending, because I couldn't afford half the cards in my hand...Ever...
This may just require some adjustment to strategy, again, I've only played a handful of games. But this could definitely pose a small issue to the less-than-experienced people of Armello.  :-\

Other than the above, I've rather enjoyed a lot of what this update has to offer. The quest system is lovely, though, as has been previously stated by others, but can be a little confusing at first.
The card changes I've seen have not been too abrupt.
The card additions are AMAZING  ;D
I can't wait for the next one...

(I'm still getting over being ill - it was quite a nasty bug - but I hope some of this made sense  :P )

Multiplayer / Player Appreciation Thread
« on: March 20, 2015, 04:43:16 PM »
So! The clan I belong to had one of these, and I think that having one here is not a bad idea, so here I shall place the ceremonial flag of Armello's own Player Appreciation Thread
Steam Forum Sister Thread

Simply throw congratulations, salutations, exasperations, or any other manner of POSITIVE shout outs to your fellow Armellians below! Highlight a beautiful moment from one of your games, spread the love with virtual hugs, or simply say thank you and "gg" to your competitors.

I'll start by giving a HUGE thank you to Alvorn, Adorath, Sleepy Sheep, CheddarRat, Kletian999, and Captain Levi for the spectacular games tonight! It was a blast.

I'd also like to say that getting a chance to Mumble with a couple of the guys was a worthwhile experience, and I can't wait for our next set of games, mates!

Until then, don't take any throwing axes to the face, and stop killing beavers!  ;)

Off-Topic / Red's Other Other Hobby...
« on: March 11, 2015, 04:47:02 AM »
So, another thing I've been doing in my spare time is making video games...

A horrible work-in-progress distribution, but hey, what do you expect  :-\ .

Anywho, it's been a fun little project to see how to integrate little snippets together and whatnot.
It will hopefully be getting more cleaned up in the future...With a little luck... ;D

Artisan's Alley / Title Pending...
« on: February 24, 2015, 04:06:39 AM »
Mazaren's Island, once upon a time, was a quiet place. Though, the three creatures that stood upon one of its mounts would now say otherwise. The change in pace was made rather apparent with the smoldering, broken apart mess that was once a glorious wooden sea vessel, sitting in the island's harbor.

All three creatures – a wolf, a cat, and a red panda – had watched the seaside scene play out, and each now stood with varied expressions.

The panda looked on pensively, It was not an uncommon sight, as he had many times before remained quiet and solemn in moments like this. Although the three of them knew it was coming, long before, it still came as a shock to them. For him, despite his stern and somewhat flat expression, his driving emotion was anger, for the flaming ship below meant the loss of a friend.

The cat had actually fallen to her knees. After a moment, as she began to shed tears, the panda came to her side, placing a paw upon her shoulder. Truthfully, this came as a surprise to the panda, as it was not commonplace for the cat to show in any way that she cared for any thing. For her, the wreckage meant a much greater loss, and one – due to her foreseeing of the event – she had already suffered before.

The wolf, in all honesty, felt greatly out-of-place. Nervous, as he usually was, he began to shift from one footpaw to the other and back again. Not knowing any – save one – of the creatures in the harbor, meant he had little connection to the events that had just unfolded. He did, however, understand the anger and distress of the two creatures that stood beside him.

As the others stared down at the harbor, the wolf turned to look back towards the stone structure that was Mazaren's Hall. He instantly regretted this action, just as his nose came into contact with the muzzle of a flintlock rifle.

Swallowing hard, he called to the two. “Um, guys. I know this probably isn't the best time to mention it,” he began. “But I believe the Legion is here.”

The cat and the panda turned to see a moderately sized party of rats, weasels, tigers, and more all suited in the shiniest of armors, armed to their teeth with rifles, pistols, swords, axes, spears, and many more things that made the poor wolf slink even further down. From the group, one creature stood out from the rest, walking to the main rifle-bearer's side.

Although shorter than the majority of the creatures present, his power could be seen in his blue cape, the way he carried himself, and the medals that adorned the red sash he wore from shoulder to hip.

“Come,” he stated flatly, his voice dark and worn for his size. “Let's have a chat.”

A short intro to an Armello thing I'm writing...

Artisan's Alley / TheRedRaccoon's scribblings...
« on: January 28, 2015, 09:10:29 AM »
Well, I might as well post a shameless plug here.

Unfortunately I have yet to update this in some months, but you can find a short story, and my bigger project (Mazaren's Circle, which oddly becomes incredibly similar to Armello later down the plot) on my Wattpad profile. I'm hoping to get my other chapters up soon, because writing is fun;D

Multiplayer / A Timezone Thread?
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:45:05 AM »
So, I've noticed a few people (myself included  8) ) have been having issues finding people to play multiplayer with. If I may pose a suggestion, would anyone be interested in posting their timezone here, so that other people perusing these forums can fine people in their timezone with which to play?

If so, I can update this post to keep a running list of people's timezones for reference, like so;

US & Canada Central (UTC -06:00):

US Pacific (...etc.)

Australian Semi-Standard Time ...

You get the point!  ;)

Introduce Yourself! / Hello ^_^
« on: January 24, 2015, 06:31:30 AM »
Not sure how many people really are here anymore, but thought I'd hop in and give my two cents!  ;)

Hello! I'm TheRedRaccoon, a man with like 6000+ hobbies, some of which are writing, filming, drawing,, playing games, making games, watching games, playing games a second time, and on occasion releasing any material related to previous stated hobbies.  ;D

I recently found Armello through a fellow twitch streamer, investigated the Steam page, added it to my wishlist with intent to buy it today, got discouraged by the whole Bandit situation, tried to (sorta) defuse the Bandit situation, left the Bandit situation, and then came here to the forums...

It was quite the adventure.

Anywho, I still intend to buy the game later today - after all, I'm highly impressed with the interactivity of the Devs! - and would love to help the community/wiki, in anyway I can.  ;)

Happy gaming~! ^_^
