Gameplay Changes
  • The King now copies cards from the Decks when playing them as King Perils or King’s Declarations instead of taking them from the shared deck.
  • Players only now have to play one full Single Player Game to unlock the Fast Forward feature.
  • Removed the short delay after when a Bane spawns on their turn.
  • Peril Crossbones now appear on all buffed Perils, not just from Cursed Lands.
  • Bane to play Taunt and Screech before fleeing from Spirit Walkers

  • Darkest Night has been removed from the King’s Declarations.

  • Banes will always move directly away from a Spirit Walker when possible, regardless of whether it was previously busy terrorising a town or pursuing it's prey.
  • If the Hero has any Rot and they become a Spirit Walker, they will take damage equal to their current Rot value, as their Rot is reduced to zero.
  • While in the Spirit Walker state, Rot cannot be gained, and every point of Rot that would usually apply, instead inflicts a point of damage.

Armello Development / The April Update is Live!
« on: April 27, 2018, 04:03:43 PM »

Hello everyone!

The time has finally come, the April Update is Live NOW! If you’re the type of person who likes to dig straight into the build notes, you can find them in all their glory here.

Let’s run through all of the features that this release brought for you.

Mercurio’s story - The Grinning Blade is now out.

You can get this novella at Skeeve’s shop, where he’s giving it out for free (what a deal). Once collected, navigate to the Novella in your inventory to give it a read.

Our detailed post about the novella can be found here.

Probably the most exciting part of this update - the changes to the Explode Pool.

Each hero’s Explode Pool is now equal to their Spirit stat. If you’re Corrupted, your explode pool is based on the Rot value and not your Spirit. As a result some of the cards have been changed and new cards have been added.

Our post describing the mechanics of the explode pool and our motivation behind this decision is here.

We have added 2 new cards to the game to complement the changes to the explode pool - Blackberry Dust and Mahogany Stuff.

Blackburry Dust gives you +1 to Health and Magic but takes away 2 from the explode pool.

Mahogany Stuff is an equipable item that gives +1 to Spirit and adds +1 to explode pool.

Full description of the cards and their effects can be found in our post here.

Below is the list of the known bugs that might affect some players:
  • In-game inventory might not reflect items you have but Steam will show them correctly
  • Decay Amulet might apply damage incorrectly based on your rot level
  • Pink (some say magenta) skins are still there. This colour is all the rage this season.
  • King might not have Voice Over in the beginning of the game
This about wraps it up. Go ahead and try it out for yourself, hopefully we have covered everything in this post but as usual, your feedback is always welcome!

Mmmmmuch love,

<3 Darcy & the LoG Team

Armello Development / The Road to 2.0 - February Feature Reveal, New Cards.
« on: February 13, 2018, 03:28:55 PM »

Howdy friends!

The Road to 2.0 begins with a big ol' content update on Wednesday the 14th, which is just a few days from now. We're going to start you off with a classic Armello addition with a twist, new cards.

This time around, we're giving the Trickery Deck a little bit of love with two new cards that feature a new card mechanic in Armello, the Merchant system.

After either of these cards are played a sign will appear on the targeted settlement, indicating that a Merchant will become active on the following turn. When the Merchant arrives, every player that enters the settlement during that turn is able to gain the benefits of the card.

Roxy has you covered for Followers, and Biff has all the Treasures you need. Naturally, these cards benefits all players that manage to visit the targeted settlement - so take advantage of ill-positioned opponents, defend this valuable settlement or even terrorize it to dismiss the merchant early.

Let us know what you think and ready yourselves for the next feature reveal.

Armello Development / The Road to 2.0
« on: February 12, 2018, 04:48:45 PM »

Greetings dearest Armellians,

Today is a monumental day for Armello and it’s time to revel and celebrate. Armello version 2.0 is coming, and will land later this year. They say that the journey is more important than the destination, but considering what we’ve got up our sleeve, it’s all gonna be pretty damn special.

Along The Road to 2.0, we will be providing content updates monthly! The February update will be the first and is landing this week, Wednesday the 14th of February. Specifics of the February update will be revealed over the coming days and are bound to set an exciting tone for our adventure ahead.

Each update on The Road will primarily focus on additional content, juicy gameplay hooks and lore expansion. In essence, they are a tribute to v2.0, contributing to our overarching goals for where we want Armello to be at the end of the year. Behind the scenes, we’ll be plugging away at larger, far-reaching, systemic changes to Armello. The end of the Road will culminate in the arrival of v2.0 itself and with it, these major features and improvements.

What are these larger features, you ask? Well, well, well, you’ll just have to load up your caravan and join us on this journey to find out.

Hero, welcome to The Road to 2.0.
