It's supposed to do that.

What you are experiencing are exploding dice.
Whenever you roll a wyld symbol (The tree), the dice counts as a hit, and you get to roll an extra dice. This counts for both sides though so sometimes your opponent will explode until he has twelve hits... which sucks.

The rot is complicated.
Generally it does nothing, unless you are fighting an opponent who also has rot, if this is the case, the player with most rot, gets bonus dice equal to the rot of the player with least rot.
So if Thane has three rot and fights the king, who has five, the king rolls three extra dice.

While if Thane has five rot and fights a Bane (which has four) he gets four extra dice.

That happened a couple times in my last game as Thane.  I guess that explains his appearance in that one trailer.

Let's see.

I already have it listed as an external link under "Hard Coded Hostility" and "The Corruption".

What else,

Beneficial Disease
Half Dressed Cartoon Animals
Klingon Promotion
Shout Out (Game of Thorns)

You have any other ideas?

I'm listed as Bandit tier but all I got from Humble Bundle was the game.

How do I download the audiobooks and stuff?

And are the Bandit heroes available yet cause all I'm seeing are the default four.

I don't know if I consider Scarlet 'genderfluid' but I do think her backstory is filled with a great sense of character with a well thought out personality and social life. Not only that but the fact they refer to her as the "Bandit King" defnitely sounds best and lends her a powerful and unique personality in the world.

And Elizabeth Swan was elected Pirate King but no one disputed her gender.

But seriously, Scarlet looks more feminine than any of the heroes bar Amber, aside from on the "Cleansing Wild" card where she's meditating topless but given how female animals don't seem to have human-style mammaries in Armello that might not be a big deal.

General Discussion / Re: The Ultimate Armello FAQ - Gameplay Perils
« on: November 24, 2014, 08:04:06 AM »

I'm playing the Beta - single player right now. It runs very smoothly. Well except that one time I a lost a fight with the king and my 17 prestige points were gone, ouch. I reported the bug.

But now on topic. l noticed that the AI don't play many perils, maybe the king should randomly assign them each night. If there are too few perils in play, the cards peril vision or increasing the peril rating doesn't make much sense. Maybe a game feature you can turn on and off?

I'll leave Trent to answer that questions but your prestige bug is not infact a bug.  Prestige is in theory a point tally of who is most worthy to rule after the king.  So how many good deeds you do. For example when you kill a bane you get +1 prestige because banes are evil.  If you kill enemy players you get a prestige because they are evil.  If you attack the king you are essentially stabbing him in the back making you unfit to rule and as punishment you lose your prestige.

Does that make sense?

But if you succeed then obviously you are stronger and thus better suited to rule than he was.

On a related note, it seems way too easy for Mercurio to gain Prestige compared to the others.  Last time I played as Thane Mercurio won with 6 more points than anyone else, and when I played as Mercurio I was steward pretty much every turn.

What on earth!? It has face paint and baggy pants! That's so cool!

Warrior. Definitely warrior. If you're part of the species whose name used to mean "bone breaker," then you must be a warrior by default.
Bonus points if you've already got an awesome beard and look like the Red Baron's spirit animal. 8)

Seriouslyyyyy, right? They're the shiz and I can totally see it. They also have learned to carry larger bones and sometimes even living animals like turtles to really great heights and then drop them onto rocks. I think they'd be the hired muscle type.

I still want to see the developers incorporate winged beings into this world.

Aside from Banes?

I actually think Shard might work as a spy who disguises themself as either gender with such ease that no one knows their true biological or identified gender.

IMO, any "obvious" LGBT characters would pretty much be token. Sexual identification adds nothing to the game. Any of that should be added to card background, backstory, etc. This is a strategy game and the cards don't actually have an individual personality.

IMO, the BEST  representation of LGBT characters are where they're completely unidentifiable from everyone else. Because that's how it is and should be.

Yeah, tokenism in media is horrible for any sort of minority group.
