I think you're onto something here mate. Honestly felt this way myself in too many games. You can quite easily stack up to 5+ shields in almost every game just by burning what you don't want and drawing items.

I think the game needs more 'non-combat' equipables anyway and this would be perfect to encourage that.

A really close friend of mine insists on 'shipping' every game I play. She watches my Twitch streams and invents pairings wherever possible.

She must be having an effect on me because all I could think of was "Samber" and/or "Amba" the latter of which could also be Amber's ghetto half-sister from the wrong side of the warren.

I'm aware that you claim this to be a joke and it was an interesting read. But I've seen so much hippy-dippy nonsense on the internet lately about sexism and LBGT and all that stuff that I can't help but roll my eyes whenever I see anything discussing genders or sexuality online.

I'm as open as the next person regarding what you can do with your life but all this internet preaching is interrupting my real-life escapism!

I think it would be perfect as an additional effect on BOTH cleansing wyld and mountain moss. It just makes sense and 2 cards in the entire deck would mean that poison would still be a dangerous and annoying affliction.

Tis indeed very good. If and when you do pick the game up, I encourage you to check out the LoG Backers group on Steam, which is open to everyone. That's the best way to meet and chat with fellow players

There shouldn't be another eruption about this issue because their is nothing left exclusive; the bandit backers just get to Beta test the Bandit DLC.

I think that's the best argument in favour of this.

Just so everyone knows, I honestly am not trying to appear confrontational or aggressive or anything like that towards Armello or the developers. I'm just trying to be honest about every aspect, which isn't always going to be positivity and roses. It's my personal belief that an active fan of your product who is honest, is better than someone who just sucks up and kisses your rear end.

Felt that I maybe needed to explain this before I gave the wrong impression. Yes I love the game, I'm having a blast and it was the best Steam impulse buy I've made in a long time. I have been recommending it to everyone I know. But I'm always going to give honest feedback, especially about something I have a vested interest in.

My honest opinion is that it was a poorly thought out backer reward, even with the compromise. I don't say that just because 'I' missed the kickstarter and won't have the heroes. The simple fact is that I've been a regular on the internet and in gaming for 16 years and I have never seen an example of this kind of 'exclusivity' be received positively.

Your best option is to hope that the majority of new players and customers who buy Armello do not discover this. Because if and when they do, you'll see this discussion explode once again, despite whether or not you believe it to be over.

Good luck.

Sorry for dragging up an old topic, but as a late-comer to the party here, from what I understand reading this, there will be a Bandit clan at final release which is ONLY available to those who backed the kickstarter?

You do realise this is absolute suicide for your game once you launch and receive more exposure? Nobody likes to feel left out and all this will do is breed resentment amongst the playerbase. It is a terrible, terrible idea.

Yeah, I also posted this in reply to the Steam forum topic. You need to make the survey public.

Those times are almost impossible for European viewers, just so you know. You're talking 1-2 AM start.

This game is full of tools designed for one player to hamper another.  At the beginning of the game, other than the prestige leader, there's no clear motivation to target one player or another.  Antagonize someone, and you become the obvious target.

I will kill anyone near to me for prestige. The motivation is winning the game. I believe there's a difference between accruing prestige points over time and just preventing another player winning due to a grudge.

But it was literally just "you killed me in the game one time so I'm going to stop you winning."

That just seems very childish to me.

It may have been super obvious this time, but how difficult is it to see almost any activity in a competitive game this way? Whether or not a particular action as allowed by the game is childish/petty/unfair/unsporting is typically just a matter of perspective.

Steam. I tend to add those I play against so I can actually talk to them. The player in question as well.

I also think it's pointless. "Meta-gaming?" It's a board game, we should be able to see what happens on the board. I also think that it starts getting blurry way too early. You basically have to be fully zoomed in to see none of it, even a little overhead view starts tinting the whole screen blue. This is going to be mentioned as a negative in reviews if it doesn't get changed.

Threatening the developers with a negative review just because you don't get your own way seems a little overboard to me.

I don't believe Armello needs a zoom feature at all. You can click and drag around the map very quickly to see where everything is. Zooming out to view the entire board would detract from the game's visuals and feel.

I play on and off. On Gandara like yourself. I have a few hundred hours logged but these days I maybe play for only a few hours a week. Still, if I found the right people to play it with I could see myself getting hooked again. That's the thing with MMO's, it's all about who else is playing, if you find a good group of guys n' gals than it's fun, otherwise you'll have a negative experience.

This is some really awesome art. LoG should be hiring you to help work on art in the game, you have nailed the style.

he replied that it was my own fault because I killed him early in the same game and I deserved to lose.

There is a gray zone here for me.  I'm perfectly fine with everything in this until the " I deserved to lose".  I don't think that anyone deserves to lose. That sounds puerile and childish.

Beyond that....yes, it's fair tactics.

That's why I had an issue with it. If it was simply a case of, "well I thought that maybe Mercurio might lose some prestige on his turn and I might be able to make a come-back" then I'd say, fair enough. But it was literally just "you killed me in the game one time so I'm going to stop you winning."

That just seems very childish to me.
